Proper Tree and Shrub Maintenance
To properly maintain trees and shrubs, one must identify if there are problems of insect infestation, weakness in the roots, fungi, or any other type of disease. At SecureLawn, we offer a year-round maintenance program which includes Dormant Oil treatment, Root Fertilization, Insect Control, and an optional Insecticide Drench treatment to prevent health issues of your trees and shrubs.
- Dormant Oil is applied on the plants between December and March. This time-sensitive treatment is used in the early part of the season before lead buds begin to bloom. Dormant oil is used to prevent aphids, scale, beetles, and other defoliators from attacking the plants.
- Root Fertilization gives the plant the strength to recover from the winter stress as it helps throughout the growing season. This spring application contains various types of fertilizers and micronutrients customized to provide your plant an adequate food reserve, vitality, and health.
- Insect Control is designed to get rid of plant-damaging insects. Treatments are applied between March and May for spring and June through August during the summer to help reduce stress and damage caused by pests such as mites, Japanese beetles, aphids, etc.
- Insecticide Drench is optional and used to protect trees from damaging insects. This treatment absorbs through the roots of the tree assuring no insect infestation occurs.
