We are currently looking for a lawn specialist to join our team. Experience is a plus, however, will train and certify the right candidate. Our Lawn Specialists provide service to residential or commercial customers by making timely lawn and landscape applications, diagnosing and correcting customer problems through service calls and other communications, and selling/up-selling services to new and existing customers, resulting in growth of our customer base.  Specialists also provide customers with product and service information and resolve technical issues. Completing production reports, new sales forms, customer invoice forms, daily vehicle inspection report, and cancel/skip notices are some of the daily responsibilities required of our Lawn Specialists.

Compensation/Benefits – Full Time

  • $20-$30 per hour (includes hourly + commissions)

Job Details and Responsibilities

  • Service Area: Rutherford, Williamson, Davidson, Wilson, and Sumner Counties
  • Guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours per week throughout the year
  • Certified Lawn Technician (CO3) – Must obtain license as required by state government. Company will assist in getting license, if needed
  • Must Have Valid Driver’s License and Good Driving Record
  • Drives Company vehicle to customer location
  • Daily outdoor labor
  • Monday to Friday with some weekend availability needed
  • Drug Free Workplace
  • Must be able to independently lift 50# and walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Applies fertilizers and pesticides to lawns according to label instructions and schedule

Position Overview
Uses route analysis software to create effective and efficient daily and weekly route plans for lawn specialists. Performs data analysis of plans, resource availability and territory. Maintains geographic codes, addresses and customer information. Reports metrics on a daily basis to General Manager.

Compensation/Benefits – Full Time

  • $15 to $18 per hour plus bonus incentives
  • 36 to 40 hours per week (flex schedule available)

Responsibilities
1. Creates route plans daily to achieve production goals using work order data and route analysis software.
2. Communicates routes within assigned territory to service personnel.
3. Summarizes and reviews plans daily with the General Manager.
4. Creates summary reports daily and provides to supervisor.
5. Enters completed production into software system.
6. Communicates with customers regarding service schedule and confirmations.
7. Daily reviews production un-serviced list.
8. Assists with office administrative tasks.
9. Participates in weekly meetings to report on status of service routing/scheduling.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or (GED) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in the service industry
• Experience in scheduling and/or customer service preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering presentations
• Attention to detail and quantitative analytical skills
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively within a team
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, maintenance instructions, procedural manuals and/or government regulations
• Ability to manage multiple, repetitive tasks
• Ability to utilize software to forecast customer demand and route capacity
• Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and the public
• Basic knowledge of the company’s service as it relates to resources, territory structure, advanced planning of recurring services and schedule availability for unplanned demand
